3 . Operations
3-1 . Announce time, date and day
Press 2H button to announce a current time. If the tense of a watch is set 12-hour system in basic setting, the watch tells "AM" or "PM" after the time.
Press 4H to announce the date/day of the week.

3-2 . Chime on the hour and each 30 minuite by beep
No need to operate to sound a chime. It beeps automatically twice on the hour and once each 30 minuite if the chime function is on in setting mode.


3-3 . Silent mode
- Hold 4H button down more than 3 seconds to turn quickly the volume into silent mode.
- It makes a "Pi" sound for 0.5 seconds.
- No voice and sound except for setting related sounds when the silent mode is ON.
- Hold 4H button down more than 3 seconds when silent mode is ON, the silent mode turns quickly into OFF, and the watch tells "silent mode OFF".

3-4 . Illuminance
- With the dial facing up, press the 3H button and wait 3 seconds.
- It makes 4 levels of beep sound depending on illuminance.

The meaning of each beep sound are according to the list below.
- One beep means dark. An example location is a dark indoor or an outdoor at night.
- Two beeps means bright. An example location is like a indoor with lights.
- Three beeps means cloudy. An example location is cloudy outdoor.
- One long beep means sunny. An example location is sunny outdoor.
There is a time lag for 3 seconds between pressing the 3H button and making beep sound. A brightness detected by the illuminance sensor is affected by orientation of the illuminance sensor hole at the 6 o'clock position. For example, if you are outdoors on a sunny day but the illuminance sensor hole is covered by something like cuff of your cloth, or if you are indoors but the illuminance sensor hole is directly exposed to strong light, you may get unintended results. And also it may be affected by the solar angle and the seasons.
3-5 . Reception status of GNSS signal
- Hold 2H button down more than 3 seconds to announce previous reception status.
- The watch tells "success or failure".

Descriptions of the conditions and announcement
- Condition: Success up to 48 hours in advance / Announcement: Recieving success
- Condition: Failure up to 48 hours in advance / Announcement: Recieving failure
- Condition: No receiving operation / Announcement: Recieving failure

3-6 . Automatic reception
This watch automatically begins receiving activity when it detects that you have been outdoors on odd-numbered days.
When the watch fullfills specific three conditions, illuminace, time and date, it starts to try receiving automatically. It does not need to operate at all as it operates automatically by conditions.
*Received only on odd-numbered days for reasons of reducing unnecessary power consumption.
Three Conditions for auto recieving
- Illuminance
- Over 2,000Lux(This is brightness that watch beeps three times or long by using illuminance sensor.)
- Time
- 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Day
- Odd days
Order of activity for auto recieving

- If the automatic reception was fail, the hands point a time advance 1 minute 30 seconds from the time that the watch tried to start receiving the GNSS signals.
- Automatic reception is required to go outdoor on a sunny or cloudy day to meet the illuminace condition, over 2000Lux, and catch the GNSS signals.
* The watch starts to receive GNSS signals by detecting over 2000 Lux even if you are indoor.
3-7 . Manual reception
If GNSS signals are not received automatically, it can be received manually by the following operation.
- Press 8H button to try receiving manually GNSS signal.
- The watch tells "Signal searching".
Receiving operation should be done at a place which the sky above opens, away from buildings, etc. Reception consumes a lot of electric power.
It causes to shorten battery life if a watch receive signals too many.
The maximum receiving time is 90 seconds.

Description for announcement and hands activity each results
- Results: Sucess
- Announcement: Receiving success, (Recieved time) / Hands activity: Point the received time.
- Results: Failure
- Announcement: Receiving failure / Hands activity: Point the previous time.
If another button was pressed during receiving activity, it means cancel and the result treats as failure.
