8 . Safty and handling

8-1 . Before use

Be sure to read this manual before using this product to ensure safe use.

This product may have protective stickers attached to prevent scratches. Take all of the stickers off before using the watch. If it is used with the stickers still attached, adhered moisture or dirt may cause rust or corrosion.

You should contact a watch store or other watch service provider for assistance because special tools and expertise are required for battery and band replacement.

8-2 . Explanation of Symbols

Descriptions in the manual are classified as the following indications in order to prevent harm to users, other people and damage to properties.

Warning

To indicate a potentially serious hazard, such as serious injury, if it is mishandled.

Caution

To indicate a potentially hazardous situation which, if it is mishandled.

Indicates what we would like you to do.

Prohibit

Indicates prohibited items.

8-3 . Basic Precautions

Warning

Stop using immdediately in the following cases.

  • When a part of the watch body comes off or a pin of the band pops out.
  • In case of broken glass.
  • If the shape of the watch has changed due to distress or corrosion.

Do not disassemble or modify the watch.

Do not leave the watch body or parts within the reach of small children.

Do not use the product for purposes other than daily living.

Caution

Avoid storing, using, or transporting the product in the following cases

  • Locations subject to temperatures other than 5°C to 35°C for extended periods of time.
  • Places with extremely high or low temperatures, high humidity, or extreme changes in humidity.
  • Places subject to static electricity or magnetism
  • Dusty places
  • Where highly volatile chemicals such as paint thinner or benzene are present.
    *These chemicals may cause discoloration, melting, or cracking of the watch.
  • Places subjected to strong vibrations.

8-4 . Battery Precautions

Warning

Do not remove the battery from the watch except to replace it.

When replacing batteries, insert them in the correct orientation of + and -.

Dispose of used batteries promptly according to the instructions for your area of residence.

Do not leave used batteries within reach of infants.

Do not store or leave batteries in a hot environment or throw them into a fire.

8-5 . Waterproof Precautions

Caution

Do not use in underwater activities such as swimming.

Do not take a sauna or bath while wearing the watch. Doing so may cause deterioration of water resistance, water contamination, rust, or malfunction.

Do not allow water from the faucet to splash directly onto the watch. Water from the faucet may cause the water pressure to exceed the waterproof performance.

Do not operate the watch with moisture adhering to the buttons or crown area. Doing so may cause to get wet.

Do not leave the watch for a long period of time with dirt or sweat adhering to it. Doing so may cause the watch to deteriorate.
